My job for this project was to create the album cover for an EP, called "Train Trip". My client wanted me to create a cozy train with people watching through the window. The rest of what this could be like was in my hands.

I tried different thumbnails to see how many people could fit comfortably without making the illustration feel overcrowd. And while making the final sketch (with three people) I tried different poses and activities they could be doing, as well as a little child (who ended up making the illustration feel overcrowd).

My objective was to make it feel like a children book illustration painted with gouache and pencils, but in a flat minimalistic way, but a more organic one, full of texture.
