A couple of the Netherlands contacted me while expecting their baby, looking for someone to create a birth card to send to their loved ones. They had in mind a lovely concept: a family of wolves with their cub on a crib (the one they have in real life), in the middle of a snowy forest with Northern Lights in the sky.

I suggested different compositions for the project: ones the illustrations works more like a staged photography (with the wolves looking straight and the forest behind them), and other where there's more storytelling and deepness.

I also tried to pick a color palette that was dark and cold for the winter night, but also colorful and cute for the theme of the card. I decided to make the crib warm colors to make it pop, as well to make the glow so we could have more light and warm colors.

It also added a little bit of magic.The couple loved the card and they ended up sending one to Argentina for myself! It was a great and really cute experience.
